I became a teacher really on a whim. I applied to be a sub at the school and was quickly offered a full-time ED Tech position in PreK. I quickly fell in love with the position and knew I wanted to go further with it. I now teach Middle School Science, and I love connecting with my students, while watching their minds expand!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching moment is from my first year. I had a student who had a bad view of science and school in general. Slowly, over the first quarter, he started coming into my class excited to do the work we had. I ended up giving this student the most improved award because by the end of the year, he was helping the other students in his class to learn the content.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25,000, I would use it as a down payment on a house closer to my family. We currently live in a small house, and I want to have room for my son to explore and learn all he can about the world around him!
