Tell us why you became a teacher

I wanted to use my talents to make a difference somehow. I've always loved working with kids and I have such fond memories of school and all the teachers who helped shape me and I wanted to have the same positive impact as well.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I have had countless memorable moments, but one that stands out was when I assisted my students in writing a book that we then had published. They were so motivated to do their very best work & it was incredible to witness how much they grew as young writers during the process from drafting to publication. The anticipation waiting to receive it was palpable & when it finally arrived, I got to be a part of such a big moment as they saw their work in a "real" book & became published authors!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to further my education, give back to my school, donate school supplies to a children's organization for those in need, put some into savings, and also use some to reach personal goals.
