I love teaching because I know that the knowledge I give to each student it's going to prepare them for the future.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I believe education has the power to change lives. So I became a teacher, because I love to see students grow. Not just academically, but personally. Being a teacher allows me to make a positive impact everyday by guiding students, encouraging curiosity, and helping them understand the world around them. I strive for my classroom to be a place where students feel supported, inspired and challenged to keep learning.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Just recently we use the microscope for the first time. We are studying the Levels of Organization in Organisms. We looked at a piece of an onion under the microscope and It was so exciting to see the reaction of the students that brought their specimen into focus. They were so excited and It helped me know they understood the assignment.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I will take the classes need to finish my certification, and buy more science resources for my classroom.
