Learn MoreI am a CODA and proud to have a deaf mother. However, the adversities, hardships, and discrimination she faced were not easy. Those experiences were my motivation to become a teacher and help students that society often labeled, misjudged, and mistreated.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moments throughout the years are when former students reach out to me and tell me what having me as a teacher meant to them. This is the reason I continue to teach, despite the changes in our profession.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would enjoy a summer without dependency on additional summer school income. I would also set up a reserve fund for next school year to help my students with food storage and personal hygiene.
