I love watching the progression. Whether it’s watching them get more confidence, feel less stressed, or having an AHA moment is rewarding.

When I was getting my business degree I worked on Sundays with my housemates with special needs children at the local YMCA. It was life changing. Being able to give exhausted parents a few hours to catch up, go on a date, or even take a nap while I got to see life through these kids eyes. They brought joy to my week and instantly I wanted to work with kids. It was my senior year and my parents said I couldn’t switch majors but could fulfill this dream after giving the business world a chance.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experiencePutting on our fifth grade play, one of my students had a seizure, literally falling in my arms. After the ambulance ride, waiting for his parents, getting a ride back to rehearsal and putting on our show dedicated to him I will never forget. When I moved up to the middle school on my first day he found me and couldn’t stop thanking me. We continue to stay in touch even as he is off to college.
What would you do with the $25,000?Pay for some of my daughters first year of college. The tuition is unbearable.
