Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I wanted a meaningful, post military retirement, career that would allow me to give back to future generations.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience came when I was able to marry learning, technology, and fun to deliver education centered around Black History Month. The children were all engaged, the children and adult helpers all walked away having learned something and the children immediately asked to do a similar event in the future. It was amazing.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I’m being quite honest most of the money would go back into creating a better learning environment for the children I serve. I’d keep some for my family to take a trip as well.
