Learn MoreI became a teacher to make a difference. I wanted to be that difference in some kids life. To be inspiring like the teachers I had. Academics is just one part of the job. Being there for their emotional support is a big factor. I teach at a title one school and a large number of our kids are disadvantaged. I aim to bridge that gap.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moment is when one of my special needs students didn’t like to speak, but I encouraged her to bring her “binky” stuffed bunny. Then everything she learned she can tell to Binky. By the end of the year she didn’t need Binky to engage in the learning with her peers.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use it to help as many as I could. While taking some to lessen the debt I have.
