Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I’ve always wanted to help students grow and believe in themselves. I know how much a good teacher can influence a student’s life. I wanted to be someone who not only teaches lessons but also encourages students to try, improve, and realize they are capable of more than they think.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences was when a student who used to struggle in class finally started participating and completing their work with confidence. With encouragement and patience, I saw that student slowly improve. Seeing that smile and pride in their progress reminded me why I chose this profession.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received the $25,000, I would use it to create more meaningful learning opportunities for my students by investing in classroom technology, hands-on learning materials, and resources that support different types of learners. I believe students learn best when they are engaged, curious, and given the tools to explore their potential. I would also take the opportunity to help students in the Philippines by providing learning materials and support to schools that have limited resources.
