Effective communication is the basis for self advocacy and change-making in today’s world. I want to uplift my students and give them the tools to be the change makers of today and tomorrow as well as instill the value of curiosity and exploration.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI recently received the student perception survey results for this school year and I was moved to tears when seeing how my students find my pedagogy meaningful and see me as a trusted adult who cares for their wellbeing socially, emotionally, and academically.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would like to continue my education. I am currently looking into PhD programs and also considering getting an advanced certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language. Many of my students are still in the process of acquiring the English language and I would love to expand my knowledge to better support their language development and confidence.
