I became a teacher because the most influential people in my life have been teachers.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience is when I told my class that they could call me Miss “Mac and cheese” (my last name used to be McIntosh) if they brought me Mac and cheese and several students actually brought me macaroni and cheese!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest some of it into my own children’s college funds and donate the rest to cancer research. My father recently died of cancer.
