Simply put, I became a teacher to make a difference for those who often have to fight harder than anyone else. My love for teaching started early when my 2nd grade teacher stood up for me and my own emotional health. She helped my classmates develop empathy for others as I struggled with the loss of a family member. I strive to help others better understand my students everyday.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moments as a teacher often come from conversations with parents when they see their children succeed outside of my classroom. Best example is students using their AAC to express communication in the community.
What would you do with the $25,000?First, take a deep breath and have a fun filled day with my son and husband at an indoor eatery park. Then invest in more toys and sensory equipment for my students! Lastly, books books and more books!
