I have always loved helping people, ever since I was young, playing pretend school with my little sister. Additionally, I had amazing teachers in high school who encouraged me and inspired me to study physics in college. I took education courses and decided teaching was always the perfect job for me to combine my passions for learning, helping, and hopefully inspiring my own students! I aim to make a positive impact on their lives and create a safe, welcoming space.

It is hard to pick just one, but during my first year teaching one of my students was a senior who was nervous to be taking physics. At the end of the year, she told me she now loves physics because of my class and my teaching. She told me this discovery helped her decide to major in engineering at the college level. I love hearing about the amazing things my students move on to do and how they use the skills and knowledge from my classes in so many different ways!

I would spend this money on a variety of different things. I would love to put some money towards graduate school courses so I can work on higher education degrees. I would also love to donate some of the money to organizations that support education, women in STEM, and more :)
