Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I had an amazing first grade teacher that inspired me to be a teacher. He played the guitar and made learning songs. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to become a teacher just like Mr. G when I was teaching my stuffed animals. There is nothing better than an a-ha moment when a subject just clicks and they are able to own their knowlege. Their is nothing more important than pouring into the next generation and being able to shape and grow young children.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was when I was doing the Musical Matilda and I was role playing as Ms. Honey and the whole class was like you are Ms. Honey. I really am that teacher. I get to come to work and sing and dance and have so much fun with my students. I believe in all of them so much and love to see the confidence that drama brings to each student.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay off my student loans!
