Tell us why you became a teacher

I come from a family of educators. My uncles and grandparents. I was also a struggling student and I had some teachers that made a big impact on my education and I wanted to do the same for future students.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Every year is memorable. I love coming to work and teaching kids academic, but also social emotional learning. Building classroom community comes first and having mutual respect is important.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would buy my first home. I would also pay off my student loans from my undergraduate and graduate degree.
