This is my 31st year teaching. I’ve taught grades 1-4. It’s honestly the most rewarding job you can have.

Learn MoreTeaching is one of those jobs that if you don’t love it, you’ll be burned out within the first few years. I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of children over the past 31 years. Not only have I taught them but I’ve learned from them. I’ve learned about them and how to teach them in a way so that they can be successful. I still go into work every day and see the smiles of my fourth graders and know in my heart that I chose the best profession. I also work with an amazing team!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere are so many over the years but I’d have to say, when I receive letters from students I’ve had in the past expressing how much they loved my class, it warms my heart.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay some bills to help me with some financial stress as a single mom for the past 19 years. I would continue to teach and do my best to make an impression on every one of my students.
