Tell us why you became a teacher

I decided to return to my studies to train in child development when my first daughter was born, with the aim of supporting her, keeping her close, and surrounding her with love during those precious early years. That decision shaped my path not only as a mother but also as an educator. It deepened my passion for guiding children to become independent, believe in themselves, and develop a strong sense of self-esteem. My greatest purpose is to leave a positive and lasting imprint on every student

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

“The most cherished memories that inspire me to continue teaching are seeing my students blossom into confident, independent learners who love coming to school. I am deeply moved by the joy of parents as they watch their children thrive. It fills me with happiness to see my students develop positive values, express themselves, and grow especially those with special needs. Supporting their progress and witnessing their transformation is truly an honor.”

What would you do with the $25,000?

“I would be deeply grateful to be selected for the $25,000 award, which I would use to help cover medical expenses after battling breast and lung cancer over the past two years. Throughout this journey, teaching has been my greatest source of strength. Being in the classroom allows me to show my families that, no matter the challenges, we can persevere with resilience, hope, and determination.”
