I became a teacher because it was a calling. I wanted to help and educate people. I wasn't sure in what grade level I wanted to be , but through my various experience of being a teacher assistant and substitute, I learned that there was a significant need in Special Education. I believe all students can achieve success and I want learning to be fun and meaningful in order to promote curiosity. It is of great satisfaction to witness the growth of each student and be a part of their life.

I have many memorable moments that I share with my students. However, there is one recent memory in which I was able to change the behavior of an aggressive student for the better. With persistence and patience, and the use of Conscious Discipline, the student now smiles, gives hugs and is able to interact with her peers. It was a teamwork effort, but I really felt a sense of accomplishment to help change the life of this student.

I would buy a safe a reliable vehicle to take me to and from work. My car is almost 10 years old and it has 150,000 miles on it. It would be nice to no longer have to continue to repair and put money towards my vehicle. It would be great to have peace of mind knowing I can get to work.
