Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe education has the power to change lives. Growing up, I had teachers who encouraged me, believed in me, and helped me see possibilities for my future. Their impact inspired me to do the same for others. I wanted a career where I could support students, help them discover their strengths, and create an environment where they feel valued and capable of achieving their goals.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences was helping a student who struggled with confidence in the classroom. Over time, with encouragement and support, that student began participating more and believing in their ability to succeed. The day they proudly shared their work with the class and realized they could succeed was incredibly meaningful. Moments like that remind me why teaching matters—because sometimes the greatest lesson we give students is confidence in themselves.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win the $25,000 prize, I would invest it in resources that enhance the virtual learning experience for my students. I would use the funds to provide innovative digital tools, interactive learning programs, and technology that helps keep students engaged and connected in an online environment. My goal would be to create more opportunities for collaboration, creativity, and personalized learning so every student feels supported and inspired, even in a virtual classroom.
