I became a teacher because I am passionate about learning and committed to making a difference. Education is one of the most powerful tools for opportunity and growth, and I wanted to contribute to that impact by creating supportive and engaging learning environments.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was working with a student who struggled with confidence and participation at the beginning of the year. They rarely spoke in class and often doubted their abilities. I made it a priority to create a safe and supportive environment, offering encouragement and small leadership opportunities. Over time, I watched that student begin to participate, take academic risks, and even help classmates. Seeing that transformation — in a purposeful way.

What would you do with the $25,000?

A portion of the funds would go toward supporting students who face financial barriers — providing school supplies, access to learning technology, and enrichment opportunities they might not otherwise experience. My goal would be to ensure every student has the tools and confidence they need to succeed.
