Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to be that consistent voice of encouragement,guidance,and trust. I know what it's like to not have anyone believe in you,and don't see you. It's my hearts desire to educate,empower,and help shape the next generation of scholars. God gave me the gifts to serve, lead,and make a difference. I want to always impact lives,shaping the future and planting seeds that will grow for years to come. It's great to see them believe in themselves,become high achievers,and walk in purpose.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

A memorable teaching moment is when I was asked to work with a student on crutches from a trampoline accident. She was shy,you couldn't her mouth open with the jaws of life. I prayed asking God to help me to help her. Her Mom came to the school asking who I was. She meet me with open arms and $500 . She said my child be at home trying to walk without her crutches and she's talking more. She hugged me tightly saying thank you so much you just don't know how hard it's been. That be my paycheck.❤️

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25K I would definitely invest in my students and classroom. I would purchase materials to enhance learning and create a more engaging and supportive environment. My goal is to make kids feel equipped,encouraged,empowered and ENOUGH! Classroom technology would really be upgraded . Affirmations with cover the walls to constantly remind them of who they are. "For me,teaching isn't just a profession-it's a PURPOSE!!!!
