Learn MoreAs a young child, I wanted to become an art teacher. As I grew up, I thought it was more of a little girl playing school. I went to college for mental health and human services and worked in other jobs, but was still around kids. I realized then I missed working with kids and helping them, so I became a teacher to be a safe space, a support, and an inspiration to children. To support them to one day become adults and be the future of our world, because working with kids fills me with joy.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceA student lost a parent. I wrote a note to them. Connecting my loss to their and letting them know I was there for them. That student kept that note on and inside of there desk for months.
What would you do with the $25,000?My mom passed in December of 2024. My childhood home was still in mortgage. My siblings and I are continuing payment and waiting for probate. I would use the money towards the house/probate almost paying it off.
