Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to make a difference. I want to always help people see who they can be and give them the skills to be successful in school and life. I am a third generation educator and I am proud to continue the tradition of shaping young people and being a positive role model for all.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I think my most memorable teaching experience has come outside of my classroom and directing our drama club when I didn't know the first thing about drama. The last three years have been amazing as I have given a group of students the chance to grow and show off their talent while they have taught me about stage left, flats, blocking and so much more. I am proud to just be their advocate and leader as they design, produce, choreograph and more.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would do one of two things. Payoff debt, and or go back to school one last time to get my doctorate degree. Even though I have been at this for over 25 years, I can still learn so much more.
