Tell us why you became a teacher

I'm a job coach working with young adults with special needs. I've been a teachers assistant for over 20 years. I love working with kids of all ages. I bring fun to everything I do. Students connect better when they enjoy a fun lesson.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I had a student who had come from a bad place.Nobody could connect with him . By the end of the school year, he went from hating everyone, hitting and angry, to smiling, giving me hugs and bringing up his grades.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Some would go to my personal expenses, I would also donate to my school. We are not a K-12 school. We are a secondary transitional school. There for, we don't qualify for Title 1 funding. We could use the funds.
