The second I see those faces, my cup overflows with their pure, unfiltered love. Every worry I carried at the door vanishes. They heal me!

After losing what felt like everything, I found myself by seeking a purpose greater than my own survival. I chose teaching to transform that loss into a legacy of service. By offering knowledge, support, and genuine care to those who need it most, I’ve discovered that giving to others is the ultimate way to rebuild oneself. I teach because I know that even in the quietest aftermath, education and empathy can light the way forward. My purpose is helping students find theirs.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceDuring a lesson on inclusive travel, a quiet student shared that his family never vacationed because of his brother’s wheelchair. Inspired, the class designed a "limitless" local tour. Seeing his face light up as he realized his career could actually fix his own family's challenges was transformative. In that moment, we weren't just studying tourism; we were building a world where everyone belongs. It taught me that my purpose is giving students the tools to change their own stories.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning $25,000 isn't just about the decimal points in a bank account; when you are rebuilding from zero, that amount acts as the structural integrity for a new life. Not only would this help cover the costs of transitioning into teaching—such as certification, testing fees, and state exams—but it would also provide essential classroom tools and resources for my students
