Tell us why you became a teacher

As a child, I loved to learn and was, and still am, amazed by all aspects of our world! I wanted to share my enthusiasm! There were many opportunities that I wasn’t able to take part. Having my own children gave me an opportunity to share my knowledge and curiosity. Teaching and sharing with them has been so fulfilling for me that I wanted to be able to continue learning and teaching for a lifetime!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

To realize that my enthusiasm and dedication to the children had not gone unnoticed. Under the direction of the Superintendent, Schoolboard, and Principal, I was given the opportunity to create and develop a successful combination PreK and Kindergarten program!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would create a children’s garden! Kindergarten means “children of the garden”. A children’s garden would be a Natural way to explore, experience, and develop Science, Math, and Art while developing a sense of awe of our Natural world.
