Teaching helps challenge me to try new things and ways to reach others. I love seeing children discover ways to interact with the world.

I became a teacher because growing up school was my safe place away from home. It gave me a place to learn, grow, and feel love. I wanted to be someone that helps give that safe place to others.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceIn teaching some of my most memorable moments have been teaching my kindergarten and 1st in a self contained class. I've gotten to see them grow to read and learn how to help one another with challenges. The first graders are wonderful role models and the kindergarteners are excelling more than I've seen before due to the challenge they get and the help we all are able to provide.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000 I could successfully create a STEM program that gives the students in my small, low income school and opportunity to experience science hands on and build their creativity. Id love to see them able to be more independent and explore skills that lend themselves to trades we need.
