I’ve always loved kids. But teaching allows me to pour into students and give them the love and support they truly deserve.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I did not have any teachers that looked like me growing up. I lead with empathy and compassion and wish to be what I needed for my students.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

As a theater teacher I get to work with students on varies acting techniques tapping into their confidence. I get to see their growth beyond testing. My most memorable moment so far was putting together the winter holiday show and seeing the strides my students took from start to end how they much they lit up from the experience sharing themselves on stage.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Honestly I’m pregnant with my first child and this chapter is going to be both incredible and stressful but will teach me to tap into another level of myself. Having 25000 for my family will assist in so many ways to aide in my child’s future.
