I became a teacher during the COVID age. After College I was struggling to find work in the Film Industry but I had a professor in college, that would let me lead lectures or activities often, she used to tell me if you can explain something to someone well you know the information. She fostered confindence in me I didn't realize I had, she pushed me past my comfort zone numerous times and ultimately those moments. Convinced me that teaching is what I am suspose to do.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Learning that when you express and share how passionate you are about your subject, your students will take an interest. My first class will forever be my favorite experince Inwas teaching them sound design. In real time we recorded various sound effects using vegetables to create foley. It was a class of 12 and everyone was able to pull off amazing soundscapes and some even went on to study sound in college.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to receive $25,000, my priority would be split between creative execution and community investment. First, I would finalize the production of my comic book series, ensuring the stories I’ve crafted finally reach their audience. More importantly, I would use the funds to lay the foundation for a youth writers' camp or after-school program. By creating a dedicated space for young storytellers to find their voices.
