I LOVED school! It was my safe place, the place where I felt seen and heard; and the place where my love of reading and learning provided endless opportunities. I had many amazing teachers who made a difference for me and my goal as a teacher has always been to be a difference maker for every student who enters my classroom.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have taught a diverse variety of students over the course of my career. I have been blessed to watch students from all walks of life develop a love of learning and discover a wealth of personal potential and possibilities. Helping my students become lifelong learners is the part of teaching that means the most to me!
What would you do with the $25,000?I currently work in a title 1 school that doesn’t have a fine arts program at the elementary level. $25,000 would provide some much needed funds to create an art studio/lab on our campus that every class could utilize.
