Tell us why you became a teacher

I come from a family of teachers. I love watching the difference one good teacher makes in a students life. It means the world to me to be a teacher students choose to be with each year, and create some very special and unique pieces of art on the stage. They’re all so very talented.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Directing is always memorable. Molding actors into a show to fit a vision. But none as memorable as my experience directing the diary of Anne Frank, with two casts. Each cast brought something different, and really showed me just how vulnerable these students are capable of getting. Putting their hearts out there, really struck a chord with me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Renovate our sound system in our theatre! I love these kids and this space so much, I’d love to see the money go back to them, and continue to create the art we all love in our little theater.
