Learn MoreI became a teacher because I wanted to give back to my community. I had some really good social studies teachers along my academic career and they helped me realize that this career choice was my calling. I take my responsibility of helping form the next generation of responsible citizens very seriously and get a sense of pride when doing so.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience comes from my first year of teaching, at the time I was teaching special education. I loved being able to help these students and bring their go to person within the school. I mostly taught seniors and helped them choose what they wanted to do out of high school. I was able to do for others what others had done for me when I was younger.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I were to win and receive the $25,000 I would use it to help pay off my student loans as I have big plans in the future and before I can begin on those I need to get out of the debt I owe.
