To help make difference in inner city schools where I grew up. I love being there for students and helping them grow and learn. I love watching what they accomplish as the go through high school and beyond!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceBecause I teach math, my kids struggle with grasping concepts that I teach. It really hits when the kids come after school and I help them understand what it is they are learning. I see it more when I do class projects as well, the students are able to connect more with what they are learning. It’s the ah-ha moments when it all connects.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won the $25,000 I would probably use it towards buying things for my classroom that are needed yearly for my students to learn. I would use part of it to donate to youth programs for sports to encourage kids to play more.
