I always credit my mom to my decision of becoming a teacher because she is a great model of one. Through school, I also had really impactful teachers that gave me the love of literature, exploring words through meaning, and cultivating my own approach of writing and creating. Through this, I now love pouring into the younger generations and helping share my love of literature and having students find their own voice in writing and thinking.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThe most memorable teaching experiences aren't just single moments, but full circle realizations of the impact I had for a student's educational journey, even when I didn't think the moment was impactful. These moments are the ones that drive my teaching heart and have powered me through hard seasons in education. Whether it's seeing a student that once struggled, graduate, or a hearing from a past student years later succeed in school. It is all important work.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning this money would be a game changer for my family's future. My husband and I are on a financial mission to clear up any remaining debt and follow the Dave Ramsey Baby Steps. This money would allow us to remove off our remaining debt and drive us to continue through the Ramsey Baby Steps. Achieving this milestone would give my family and I freedom and energy to pour into our family, community, and students for years to come.
