I became a teacher because I believe education has the power to change lives. I wanted to be someone who could inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help others discover their potential. Seeing students grow,not just academically, but as individuals—gives me a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Teaching also allows me to keep learning every day. Each student brings new perspectives, challenges, and ideas that push me to grow It’ not just about delivering lessons its about relationships

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable moments in teaching was when former students returned years later to visit my classroom. They shared how lessons we explored together had stayed with them and influenced their paths. Seeing their growth, confidence, and gratitude was deeply moving. It reminded me that teaching extends far beyond the classroom and that the connections we build can last a lifetime, shaping futures in ways we may not always see right away.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With a $25,000 award, I would invest in both giving back and personal growth. I’d donate a portion to support underserved schools by funding classroom resources, scholarships, and teacher grants to strengthen the education community. I’d also set aside funds for a meaningful vacation to recharge and gain new perspectives, returning inspired to continue contributing positively and making a lasting impact.
