I started teaching 6 years ago after many different career paths. It is exhausting but rewarding.

With all the different jobs I have had, there was always an element of teaching. In my late teens and early 20s, I was working as a performer and teaching acting/dancing. I had continued this as I began working in the veterinary field as a vet tech. Both of these experiences showed me not only how to teach, but how to learn. There were ways to connect to people of every age and explain scenarios in a way that they could understand. I finally got my teaching degree in my late 20s.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceEach day is new and different with students. They all think in a unique way, and it is interesting to see their perspective. I would say that some of the nicest days we have had was when we were outside working in our school's courtyard. The students really work well together in beautifying this outdoor space. They become curious of the little bugs and plants we are working with; it is nice to take the classroom outside to experience science in a real setting.
What would you do with the $25,000?Pay off student loans! But I would also like to further my education by getting a Masters in Biological Education.
