Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by helping them grow, think critically, and discover their potential. I enjoy creating engaging learning experiences that spark curiosity and empower students to solve problems, build confidence, and see themselves as capable learners. Teaching allows me to combine my passion for learning with the opportunity to positively impact the future through the students I work with every day.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experiences come from hands-on labs and projects. Activities like the paper roller coaster allow students to design, test, and improve their ideas. The best moment is when something they built finally works, and you see the excitement and pride on their faces. Watching students realize they can solve problems and create something successful is incredibly rewarding.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the funds in my classroom and professional growth. I would purchase materials for hands-on physics labs and engineering design projects that allow students to actively explore concepts. I would also use part of the funds for professional development to learn new strategies and technologies that improve instruction. This investment would directly benefit students by creating more engaging, meaningful learning experiences.
