I love teaching because it’s what God clearly placed me on Earth to do. I love being able to watch the kids learn and find new things!

I became a teacher to help children learn but more importantly, to show them the love of Christ in each day. Learning material is important and why we send our kids to school but they are also there to learn life lessons and things that cannot be taught within the book as well.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was when we were playing a trivia game in class. When it came to the science portion of the game, students excelled! They were repeating the different facts they had learned in previous lessons. My favorite was the “mitochondria is the power house of the cell.” Students made muscles and acted as “power houses,” which is what I had done in the lesson. It was cool to see them applying the information.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I were to win the $25,000 I would use it to buy new Science supplies for my classroom. I have limited resources in my current classroom and often have to pull from various sources to form a full lesson. The money would greatly help being able to fully set up a great science lab within the classroom.
