Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I've always looked up to my own teachers, loved learning and wanted to help others uncover their own love of learning.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

There are literally thousands of memorable moments that I can choose from that wouldn't seem like much, but in the moment, they were everything! Most recently I think of the young lady who I taught in 6th grade who sends me a thank you note/update each year during the holidays & who shared how her love of math began in our classroom. She just scored a perfect score on her SAT! To think she attributes even a tiny bit of her success to time spent learning with me is an absolute honor!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the money in my own children's futures by helping them with their college tuitions.
