I love teaching because I help kids grow, gain confidence, and light up with learning. Their proud smiles make every day meaningful.

I became a teacher because I want to help students reach their goals and build the skills they’ll need for their future careers I want to inspire them to chase their dreams even when others tell them they can’t Most of all I strive to create a safe happy welcoming and loving environment where every child feels valued supported and confident enough to become whatever their heart desires
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching moments was working with my lowest math student as she struggled with multiplication. We used a catchy song and little tricks to make the facts stick. Slowly, I watched the confusion turn into confidence. The best part wasn’t just her getting the answers right it was seeing her begin to try on her own, believing she could do it. That growth meant everything to me
What would you do with the $25,000?If I were to win the $25,000 prize, I would use it to transform my classroom into a space that feels more like a home than a traditional school room—a place where students feel comfortable, inspired, and excited to walk in each day. I want it to be warm, welcoming, and different from what they expect school to feel like I would also set aside funds to support students who come to school with very little making sure they have what they need so no child ever feels left out or less than their peers
