I became a teacher to utilize my creativity to help students enjoy learning and help to motivate them to stay in school and graduate with a high school diploma, and to be inspire them in making their dreams come true.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere are many memorable teaching moments, but one that stands out is when a pregnant teen came to me for help and told me that I was the only teacher working with her to help her pass her classes. Another teachable moment was inspiring students to publish their writing and they followed through and got published. I recently received an email from a parent to tell me his son appreciated me for preparing him for his English college courses.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would divide the money up and invest a portion of it, pay off some bills, and to do some much needed household repairs.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America's Favorite Teacher, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
