Learn MoreChildren begin their journey towards becoming who they want to be in school. Helping children reach their potential and reach their goals is important to me. All there are so many children that need love and support, teachers are sometimes th only safe place they have.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had one student who had been severely abused and neglected. When he should up he was afraid and un approachable. My job was to help him feel safe. Over the next few months my class and I were able to build a room where he not only enjoyed coming in but stated learning and thriving with both me and his peers!
What would you do with the $25,000?My family and I are already planning a trip to Hawaii for our son’s graduation gift and to knock out two more national parks. $25000 will help offset the costs. Also I have so many low income families that I try to support with my teacher salary that just isn’t enough!
