Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I am passionate about helping students grow, discover their talents, and reach their full potential. Education provides opportunities that can shape a student’s future, and I want to be part of guiding them toward success. Teaching allows me to support students academically while also helping them develop confidence, resilience, and a love for learning.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One memorable experience occurred during a field trip with my broadcasting students to a local radio station. They saw firsthand how a live broadcast operates and learned about the equipment and teamwork behind the scenes. The highlight was when students had the chance to go on the radio themselves. Watching them step into the studio, overcome their nerves, and confidently participate in a live broadcast was incredibly rewarding.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If awarded $25,000, funds would expand hands-on science learning through lab equipment, experiment kits, and materials that allow students to actively explore scientific concepts. Funding would also upgrade broadcasting equipment, including cameras, microphones, and editing tools, giving students real-world media production experience. These resources would increase engagement, build practical skills, and connect classroom learning to authentic career pathways.
