I love teaching because I inspire confidence, spark curiosity, and help students believe in their own limitless potential.

I became a teacher because it is where purpose meets possibility. Every day, I have the opportunity to shape not just academic growth, but confidence, character, and courage. Teaching allows me to see potential in students before they see it in themselves—and then help them rise to it.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences was working with a student who had struggled academically since kindergarten and believed he didn’t belong. I focused on building trust, learning his interests, and closing his learning gaps with patience and consistency. Over time, he began completing work, participating confidently, and improving academically. The day he thanked me for believing in him reminded me that relationships and belief can truly transform a child’s future.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, I would create an engaging, student-centered learning environment by investing in flexible seating, technology, hands-on STEM resources, and culturally diverse classroom libraries. I would fund enrichment opportunities, field experiences, and academic intervention tools to close learning gaps. A portion would support family engagement events and mentorship programs, ensuring students feel supported both academically and emotionally.
