Tell us why you became a teacher

I had a few teachers , while growing up that modeled the path I wanted to take! I have always loved helping others achieve their goals, while I was too! I had one teacher specifically that believed in me and as he was preparing me for college, I was deciding this was the career I wanted! Preparing others to follow their passion and continue creating more musicians or teachers with the same passion or give them the best memories to last a lifetime!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

There are so many but one of them was when I was teaching sixth grade band and this particular group met every expectation I had for them! I even had this group perform several songs at a restaurant but when my dad passed away these same students surprised me and showed up and performed at his funeral! Had no idea this was going to happen and beyond touched! Performed the songs I had taught them

What would you do with the $25,000?

Use it for more items for my students music room and forever change our program for them if it was for me to use outside of school it would be for a car. My car has a year left to make it and all my money has been used for my sweet mom that was placed in a memory care facility a year ago this upcoming Friday. So there is no way to purchase one.
