Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I want to make a meaningful impact in children’s lives. I strive to be a positive role model who guides them in the right direction, helping them make thoughtful decisions both academically and in real-life situations. My goal is to prepare them for the real world while teaching them to respect themselves and others.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Memorable experience was raising money and taking an underprivileged senior in my own vehicle to an out of state college campus soccer visit. Where later she accepted an athletic/academic scholarship to play for the community college. There was no better feeling than knowing I was a part of her journey.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would first put aside money for my 3 year old daughter college fund. Next, I would take my family on a much needed week long vacation. I have dedicated the past 12 years to teaching and coaching that they deserve a much needed vacation and my undivided attention. They have sacrificed so much that it is my turn to bless them with a deserving trip.
