Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe education can change lives. I was inspired by teachers who believed in me and helped me see my potential, and I wanted to be that person for others. Teaching allows me to build relationships, support growth, and create a safe, encouraging space where students feel valued and capable. Helping children learn, grow, and gain confidence is my purpose and passion.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was watching a student who struggled with confidence finally believe in herself. Through small‑group support and consistent encouragement, she went from avoiding reading aloud to proudly volunteering. When she smiled and said, “I can do this,” I was reminded that teaching is about empowering students to see their own potential.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would invest it directly into my classroom and professional growth. The funds would support student resources, hands‑on learning materials, literacy tools, and technology that enhance engagement and accessibility. I would also use part of it for professional development to strengthen my practice, ensuring I continue providing meaningful, high‑quality learning experiences for my students.
