I became a teacher because I wanted those students with disabilities or those with another first language other than English to be able to succeed in the classroom.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI love seeing when a student has a lightbulb experience like when they are able to blend sounds for the first time and make a word such as c-a-t spells cat! I also love when students tell me that I made a difference in their lives by teaching them how to be a better leader. It's not all about math, writing and reading but also who they are inside.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would probably buy more teaching tools for my classroom and possibly take a trip to a sunny and warm location!
