I care deeply about kids, not just how they perform, but how they feel and grow. I notice the ones who need extra patience, extra structure, or just someone who understands them—and I naturally step into that role. I don’t shy away from guiding, redirecting, or being firm when needed, because I want my students to truly succeed, not just get by.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable experience as a teacher is a student who started well below grade level in reading and is now at grade level. Watching their confidence grow and seeing that progress over time reminded me that with consistency, support, and patience, real growth is possible and it’s why I love teaching.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to invest in both my personal and professional growth. I would set aside money to improve my classroom and provide more engaging resources for my students, especially in reading and hands-on learning. I would also use part of it to support my family, reduce financial stress, and create more stability at home. Finally, I would save a portion for long-term goals and future opportunities that allow me to continue growing as an educator.
