Connect Tell us why you became a teacher

I started in a trial class in high school for childcare. I fell in love with the atmosphere and went to ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne indiana. Throughout my experience, I've become an assistant director and director of childcare facilities. I also became a bus driver and worked with all grades. I currently work at Kiddie Academy, as a 4 year old teacher. Challenging situations bring learning experiences. Listen to a child, you will learn more than you teach.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Science with 4 year olds is fun! We have done whipped cream on top of water, used droppers and put blue food coloring in a separate cup, then each child dropped some blue water over the cream, when it went through the cream it looked like it was raining. Their favorite is putting magnets on each side of a jar of water and make a tornado.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would donate some to my school, church and and Riley Hospital.
