Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher accidentally on purpose. I was asked by the late Dr. Constance G. bland to watch a freshman level class while she had a meeting. It turned into me teach Alice programming multiple semesters and even teaching Robotics and English during the summer HBCU Camps at MVSU. Someone saw something in me that I didn’t notice in myself and I fell in love with it.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching moment was witnessing, one of my old summer students teaching my daughter mathematics in middle school. It made me push even more to be a model for the youth and help them to accomplish the unexpected as my mentor did for me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the 25,000. I would finish my last semester of Grad School, set money aside for my youngest daughter to get started with college, and I would use funds left to support my Esports, and Drama club teams.
